Modern wedding photography requires a balance between documentary and styled images. It’s all about capturing the event and creating the portraits. I believe a good photographer understands which style is preferred by the couple and balances the mix accordingly.
In documenting I pay much attention to detail, such as the décor, ambiance and of course, body language. It’s the simple mannerisms such as the way the couples hold hands, look at each other, laugh together etc. that reveal the true emotional bond that they share. These aspects are also what make each wedding unique and personal.
On the day I am assisted by my husband – giving you two cameras and two perspectives. Being a husband-and-wife team means we’ve been there and understand the value of capturing these moments as they unfold.
